I was there in NOLA when Jimmy McCulloch came into the Ivanhoe on Bourbon St.
Next thing I knew Lon Price of SUGARDADDY a great local band  , also Steve Howard was their trumpet player who was at home when a call came from Alan Toussaint a Trumpet was needed for the recording sessions and so Steve got to play on the tour with WINGS ; well Lon calls Jimmy up to sit in and then to my surprise calls me up too. Jimmy sat in on St. James Infirmary and Mustang Sally , after I was finished with Mustang ,he looked over to me a big smile and thumbed up me very intensely.If only Paul & Linda had come by!
